Giant Man Sculpture

Picture
As this was a private commission, we are only permitted to share one photograph of this piece, Giant Man.
Standing 14 feet high.

Core: milled polystyrene bead foam over steel armature.
Paint: polypropylene.
Artist: Javier Murcia

The scale of this guy is mammoth with his shoulders being approx 5 ft wide.
We cannot assist every artist with every different type of sculptures but please see the information below if you are considering a sculpture such as this, and visit our Planning page, which has a guide on size, usage & shape.

Considerations:
Tall, Heavy, and canted at a steep angle
Large climbable surfaces by several adults
Thick limbs

Solutions:
Proper weight bearing welded steel frame as armature, with engineering certification.
Polystyrene core with 3/4 inch/20 mm Pal Tiya Premium surface, with considerable steel attachment points from skin to armature.
Poured permanently into a concrete foundation
Our sculpting medium is great as it is:
  • Non-structural, thinner skin/lighter weight pieces
  • Fabulous at sticking to 3-D printed/foam cores
  • Perfect for Outdoor conditions (fully weatherproof)
  • Light duty, decorative (not for climbing) on pieces
  • An alternative to nasty fiberglass
  • Heat resistant/does not burn
