What type of paint did you use? I just finished sculpting a 5 foot black snake for a garden. After it’s painted I’ll be glad to send a photo

Hi Nancy,
We use water based concrete stains on most sculptures. If you go to our FAQ page there is a section on painting too :)

Love this little guy! I just got 3lbs and I think I want to try the tortoise. Why, and is the torching required!? What dies the heat do to and for the paltiya?

Hi Liz,
Thanks for your comment.
The torching is to remove the fibres that stick out- you don’t have to do this but if you want a smooth finish you can or you can sand it!
It is really just a want of flame, you don’t want to hold it on to the product as the only thing Pal Tiya premium isn’t is fireproof!!
Hope that helps, some people simply sue a lighter over it quickly to burn away any hairs.
